Wrestler Yusma is determined to improve his physical strength after failing at ISG.

Indonesian female wrestler Yusma Deswita is determined to improve her physical strength after failing to win the bronze medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

"Looking at my opponents, I realized there are still many shortcomings that need to be addressed in training, especially regarding physical strength," Yusma said in a statement from the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) in Jakarta on Thursday.

Yusma started her journey straight to the quarterfinals of ISG Riyadh 2025. She lost 0-4 in her first match against Sokhida Akhmedova of Uzbekistan.

Despite the loss, wrestling's repechage system gave her a chance to still compete for the bronze medal after Akhmedova defeated Aruuke Kyzy in the semifinals.

In the bronze medal match, Yusma faced Aruuke Kyzy, who had lost to Akhmedova, but the 23-year-old wrestler lost again 0-3 after trying to pin her opponent.

Yusma admitted that he was nervous in the match which was his first international appearance.
