Sixteen teams from 13 universities competed for the title of Campus League Futsal 2025 champion in the Nationals round, which took place from December 3-7 at the Jakarta State University Sports Hall in East Jakarta.
"The Nationals is a stage for student athletes still studying at universities to demonstrate their abilities and win the championship," said Campus League Competition Manager Dave Leopold.
The 16 teams consisting of eight women's teams came from various universities such as Jakarta State University, Budi Luhur University, STKIP Pasundan Cimahi, Indonesian Christian University, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati, Malang State University, Tidar University Magelang, Yogyakarta State University.
The Nationals' match system is generally the same as the two previous regionals, with 20 minutes of semi-clear time per half. This means the clock only stops during timeouts , players receive treatment for injuries, and cleanup begins in the final two minutes of each half. However, from the semifinals to the final, the clock will use 20 minutes of clean time, also known as effective time.
In addition to the match timing system, the Nationals have also begun implementing Video Support (VS). This feature allows coaches or team officials to request the referee to review four key situations: whether a goal was scored, whether a penalty was awarded, whether a red card was awarded, and whether a player was misidentified.
On the other hand, the Campus League reiterates its strict adherence to rules and sportsmanship, which all participants must uphold. This includes a ban on the use of professional players.
"We give them the opportunity to focus and concentrate on competing for campus," said Dave.
The Nationals phase, the culmination of the 2025 Campus League Futsal season, offers a total prize pool of Rp50 million. First-place winners will receive Rp30 million, second-place winners Rp20 million, and third-place winners Rp10 million.
He added that the Campus League is a competition that highly upholds integrity and is firm in implementing competition rules.
Each participating team is expected to adhere to all agreed-upon regulations. Discipline is considered a crucial factor in developing champion athletes.
