Liverpool manager Arne Slot hopes Alexander Isak's injury is not serious, as his striker grimaced in pain after scoring against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday WIB.
Isak, who had only come on in the second half, got his name on the scoresheet after capitalizing on Florian Wirtz's assist in the 56th minute. However, the Swedish striker was immediately withdrawn after feeling pain in either his ankle or knee. This occurred after a late tackle from Micky van de Ven.
"I haven't had any news about him. But if a player scores a goal, then gets injured and doesn't come back on the pitch and doesn't even try to come back—unlike Conor Bradley, for example, who tried but I ended up having to take him off because he couldn't continue—if a player doesn't try to come back at all, that's usually not a good sign," Slot said, as quoted on Liverpool's official website on Sunday.
