Bima Abdi adds silver to table tennis medal for Indonesia  Table tennis athlete Muhammad Bima Abdi Negara added a silver medal for the Indonesian contingent after being defeated by Singapore's representative Quek Yong Izaac in the men's singles final at the 2025 SEA Games Thailand in Nonthaburi, Friday.

Bima Abdi, who qualified for the final after winning a duel against fellow Indonesian teammate Muhammad Naufal Junindra in the semifinals, had to admit Izaac's superiority in the final match with a score of 0-4.

In the first set, Izaac immediately took over the game's dominance by scoring consecutive points to win the set 11-6.

Bima Abdi put up a tougher fight in the second set. However, his efforts to catch up were thwarted, leading to his second defeat, 8-11.

In the third set, Bima Abdi's performance actually declined, only scoring three points until Izaac won the match again with 11-3.

Bima Abdi put up a tough fight in the fourth set, as both players chased each other, forcing the match to a deuce. However, Bima missed a comeback opportunity when Izaac stole two crucial points to close the match at 13-11.

The result thwarted Indonesia's table tennis chances of taking home gold from Southeast Asia's biggest multi-sport event.

In total, the Indonesian table tennis branch contributed one silver from Bima and one bronze from Muhammad Naufal Junindra in the men's singles event.
