The General Chairperson of the Eight Objective Strategic Intellectuals Front (Bison) of Indonesia, Ginka Febrianti Ginting, assessed that the arrest of drug kingpin Dewi Astutik was a real victory in the war on drugs.
According to him, the arrest was considered a major blow to the illegal drug trafficking network in Indonesia and a clear demonstration of the commitment of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to realizing a Shining Indonesia (Clean from Drugs).
"The arrest of a drug lord of Dewi Astutik's stature is not just an ordinary arrest, but a major victory for the future of the younger generation and our collective efforts in the war on drugs ," Ginka said in a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.
He also expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) for their success in uncovering and arresting the big-time drug lord.
BNN, said Ginka, has demonstrated firm, measured, and impartial steps in eradicating the roots of narcotics crimes that are destroying the nation's foundations.
He emphasized that drugs are a real enemy of the state, so the success of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in crippling one of the main drug lords sends a strong message that there is no room for drug lords and distributors in the country.
"We, Bison Indonesia, salute and are proud of the hard work, courage, and professionalism of the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency," he said.
