Boxing closes the 2025 SEA Games with one gold, four silver and a bronze medal
Indonesia's boxing campaign at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand concluded with one gold, four silver, and four bronze medals from all the events held at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok on Friday.

Of the five Indonesian boxers who advanced to the final, only one managed to win a gold medal, namely Vicky Tahumil Junior in the men's 51 kilogram class.

Vicky put in a brilliant performance by defeating local boxer Thitisan Panmot with a narrow 3-2 victory.

Four other Indonesian boxers had to settle for silver medals after losing to their respective opponents in the final. In the women's division, Nabila Maharani lost 1-4 to Thailand's Nathicha Chongprongklang in the women's 54 kilogram final

Huswatun Hasanah also had to admit defeat to Thailand's Thananya Somnuek with a score of 0-4 in the women's 63 kilogram final.

Meanwhile, in the men's division, Asri Udin lost to Thai boxer Sakda Ryamtham with a score of 0-5 in the men's 60 kilogram final.

Another silver medal was won by Maikhel Roberrd Muskita who lost to Filipino boxer Eumir Felix Marcial with a score of 1-4 in the men's 80 kilogram final.

Indonesia's four bronze medals were won by Israellah Athena Bonita Saweho in the women's 50 kilogram class, Jill Mandagie in the men's 57 kilogram class, Alfianita Kartina Manopo in the women's 57 kilogram class, and Maria Meisita Maria Manguntu in the women's 60 kilogram class.

This result is better than Cambodia's achievement at the 2023 SEA Games, which ended with five silver medals and three bronze medals.
