Dr. Veronica Neodakhina, an endocrinologist and public health specialist, points out that maintaining good health and mood is extremely important, especially during the winter season.

The doctor points out that spices help strengthen the body and improve mood , noting that cinnamon contains a natural antiseptic and an anti-anxiety substance .

She said: "The immune system performs its protective function thanks to many factors, including biologically important elements that are abundant in spices. For example, ginger contains magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins A, C and B complex , which is why it is called a remedy for colds. Cinnamon contains zinc and iron . "

She added that cinnamon also contains the aromatic compound eugenol , a natural antiseptic, as well as cinnamal , which acts as an anti-anxiety agent and improves mood. Sweet peppers also contain the alkaloid piperine , which is important for digestion and nutrient absorption.

Neodakhina explained that these spices can be added to non-alcoholic mulled wine made from grape juice or tea , to turn it into a healthy and delicious drink, with the addition of two slices of orange or lemon to enhance the flavor and nutritional benefit.
