For two years since October 8, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza, and has continued to violate the agreement that began on October 10 of last year.
The ministry said in a statement: "Eight martyrs (six new and two recovered) and 16 injuries arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours."
Since the ceasefire began, "the total number of martyrs is 366, injuries 938, and rescue cases 619," according to the statement.
In total, according to the ministry, "the toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 70,125 martyrs and 171,015 injuries" since the start of the genocide.
She stressed that "a number of victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them at this moment," referring to the extensive destruction and the lack of necessary equipment.
In addition to the casualties, most of whom are children and women, Israel has caused massive destruction in Gaza, with the United Nations estimating the cost of reconstruction at around $70 billion.
In addition to its ongoing bombardment, Israel is violating the agreement by preventing sufficient food and medicine from entering the besieged Gaza Strip, where some 2.4 million Palestinians live in catastrophic conditions.
