Five Indonesian mixed martial arts athletes advanced to the final after defeating their opponents in the semifinals of the 2025 SEA Games Thailand on Wednesday.
The five athletes are Vallensia Fahira Hotmauli who won over representatives from Vietnam and Malaysia in the women's modern MMA 54 kg category, Alfiandi who won the fight against athletes from Singapore and the Philippines in the men's modern MMA 60 kg category.
In addition, Maydelse Sitepu, who competed in the women's modern MMA 60 kg category, also advanced to the final after defeating the Thai representative, then Alfian Bagus Fernanda who defeated the Singaporean athlete in the men's traditional MMA 60 kg category, and Dwi who defeated the host athlete in the women's traditional MMA 54 kg category.
The only athlete who didn't make it to the final was Albert, who competed in the men's 65 kg modern MMA event. Albert won against a Singaporean representative but lost to a Malaysian competitor.
The five mainstay athletes of the Indonesian Mixed Fighting Association (PB Pertacami) will fight for the gold medal in the final match on Thursday (11/12).
