In a press conference in Jakarta on Friday, Faisal delivered the clarification to straighten out the issue on social media which said that Ayu Aulia was appointed to the Ministry of Defense's creative team some time ago.
"She (Ayu Aulia) is part of the creative team from the National Defense and Development Movement for Indonesia, an organization that was recommended to be formed by the Ministry of Defense, but is separate from the Ministry of Defense organization," he said.
He explained that the inauguration of the GBN-MI National Leadership Council for the 2025–2030 period was held at the Ministry of Defense, precisely on December 19, 2025, coinciding with the 77th National Defense Day.
According to Faisal, the inauguration took place in the National Defense Hall on the 8th floor of the Ministry of Defense Office. "So, it wasn't the Ministry of Defense that inaugurated them, no, but the BGN-MI inauguration took place at the Ministry of Defense Office," he said.
GBN-MI, he added, is an organization focused on national defense. The organization he leads will, among other things, carry out national defense activities aligned with the Ministry of Defense's programs.
For Faisal, defending the country is everyone's obligation, and it can be done in various ways. Given the current trend of threats coming from non-military sources, GBN-MI feels the need to recruit various groups, including influencers.
"To penetrate society, we need certain people. Public figures , influencers , and journalists too, to be part of us, to spread these values to the public," he said.
