Hawks recruit former Brazilian youth national team center for 2026 IBL  Tangerang Hawks Basketball has recruited former center for the Brazilian youth national basketball team, Joao Vitor Franca, to strengthen the team for the 2026 Indonesian Basketball League (IBL).

The IBL website stated on Tuesday that the team's management had officially announced Franca as one of the basketball players to fill the remaining foreign player slot for next season.

The 27-year-old player is the Hawks' third and final foreign player, after Jeantal Cylla and Josh Cunningham.

Franca's presence is expected to strengthen the Hawks' paint area , both in defense and attack.

Although his name is not very prominent in domestic league competitions, he is known as a fairly experienced player in various official events of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

Franca is recorded as having defended the Brazilian youth national team at the 2015 South American U-17 Championship and the 2016 FIBA ​​Americas U-18 Championship.

This experience became an important foundation in his professional career at club level.
