The Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA) has reminded people that official communications regarding transactions on e -commerce platforms should only be conducted through the app to avoid falling prey to online fraud.
"The platform also routinely reminds users that official communications should only take place within the app, not via DMs, WhatsApp, or links outside the system," said idEA Deputy Chairman Budi Primawan when contacted.
Budi explained that idEA, along with e-commerce platforms, continues to strengthen consumer education, improve security, and conduct awareness campaigns to prevent fraudulent online transactions, including those under the guise of returns or refunds.
