Indonesian rafting made history by winning the gold medal in the women's open slalom event at the 2025 IRF World Rafting Championship held on the Kampar River, Malaysia, on Friday.
"This is the first time that Indonesian rafting has won the world championship in this (open women's slalom) category," said Zulham Peliang, Secretary General of the Indonesian Rafting Federation (FAJI) DKI Jakarta, in an official statement received.
The gold medal was won by the DKI Jakarta Women's Rafting Team representing Indonesia, which was strengthened by the best athletes, namely Lisda Rizky Saputro, Khaisya Aulia Agiasti, Siti Hani, Nadia Duwi Anindia, and Imelda Hermawati.
