"This collaboration is strengthened through improvements to the joint patrol system, optimization of the integrated coordination post, and acceleration of incident response," said Johan Seno Acton, the new General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Pattimura Ambon Airport, in Ambon, Wednesday.
According to him, the agreement was the main point in the meeting with the Commander of the Pattimura Indonesian Air Force Base, Colonel Pnb Sugeng Sugiharto, at the Pattimura Indonesian Air Force Base Headquarters.
Johan said the agreement culminated in strengthening coordination of field operations, updating emergency communication procedures, and integrating air traffic data, which would be the focus of concrete steps to be undertaken together immediately.
"We are grateful for the support of Pattimura Air Force Base so far and hope that this collaboration will become even stronger in the future, including through increased patrols of critical airport areas, strengthening of command posts, and routine evaluation of security standards," said Johan, who previously served as General Manager of Banyuwangi Airport.
According to him, consistent collaboration between airport management and the Air Force Base is key to creating a safe aviation environment and being able to respond quickly to contingency situations in the Maluku region.
Meanwhile, Sugiharto expressed his appreciation for the visit of the new management of Pattimura Airport and hoped that the good relationship would continue to be improved in supporting regional development.
"We are ready to work together to maintain aviation safety and security, and to support all efforts that benefit the community and regional development," he said.
He hopes that this synergy can strengthen security and the quality of service at Pattimura Airport so that the public gets maximum service when traveling by plane.
