Ivory Coast national team coach Emerse Fae emphasized that his squad is ready to meet fans' expectations to defend its title at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
"Because we are Ivory Coast, expectations are high. Our fans expect us to win, and that responsibility is part of our role," Fae said, as quoted on the official website of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
For this reason, he ensured that Ivory Coast would still win their final match in Group F against Gabon at the Marrakech Stadium, Ouahat Sidi Brahim, Morocco, Thursday (1/1) early morning WIB, even though they had already been confirmed to qualify for the last 16.
