Onana injured, Aston Villa lost to Arsenal
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery said Amadou Onana's injury was a factor in his squad's 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the 2025/2026 Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium in London on Wednesday morning WIB.

"In the first half, we played fantastically. But in the second half, Onana got injured and we lost the structure we need to stay strong in midfield," Emery said, as quoted on Aston Villa's official website.

Amadou Onana was substituted early in the second half after suffering an injury and was replaced by John McGinn. Shortly after, in the 68th minute, Arsenal opened the scoring through Gabriel Magalhaes to give his team a 1-0 lead. Arsenal then added three more goals through Martin Zubimendi (52'), Leandro Trossard (69'), and Gabriel Jesus (78').

Aston Villa were only able to reduce the score through Ollie Watkins' action (90'+4').
