Two national badminton players, Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, presented an unusual moment by inviting two spectators to play live on the court at the Wondr BrightUp Cup 2025, a sports entertainment event initiated by BNI.
BNI Network & Retail Funding Director Rian Kaslan said the direct interaction between athletes and spectators was a new energy for this year's event.
"This interaction provides new energy to the world of sports entertainment and shows how sports can be a bridge to build closeness," said Rian in a written statement received.
The spontaneous action at the event, held at the GBK Senayan Basketball Hall in Jakarta, became a highlight when Jojo and Ginting invited two spectators, Nadin and A'la, onto the court. The moment sparked wild cheers from the badminton fans who filled the arena.
Also present at the event were the General Chairman of PP PBSI Muhammad Fadil Imran, Deputy General Chairman I of PP PBSI and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia Taufik Hidayat, who also expressed their appreciation for the efforts to bring sportainment closer to the public.
A number of top badminton players appeared to enliven the series of events, starting from Ginting, Jonatan, to senior men's doubles Hendra Setiawan and Marcus Gideon.
