PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) dispatched an inspection train to check and ensure the readiness of train facilities and infrastructure as part of activities to welcome the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) transportation period.
"After completing the ramp check yesterday , we are checking the readiness of the crew, non-crew, facilities, infrastructure, and operations again. They must be ready," said KAI Operations Director Awan Hermawan Purwadinata during the departure of the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year Transportation Inspection Train held at Gambir Station.
Awan emphasized that Christmas and New Year transportation must be properly prepared to prevent unwanted incidents, especially incidents that endanger safety.
KAI has taken various anticipatory measures, including coordinating with the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) regarding weather that could affect train travel, as well as adding personnel to guard vulnerable crossing points.
