Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard and Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown were named NBA Players of the Week for the 2025-2026 season, for the Western Conference and Eastern Conference, respectively.
According to the NBA website, Tuesday, Leonard, as a forward , appeared dominant with the Clippers throughout the week, with an average of 41.3 points per game (ppg), nine rebounds per game (rpg), and 2.7 steals per game (spg).
The impressive performance underscored the 34-year-old's crucial role as the Clippers' driving force in the Western Conference's top-tier competition.
Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown has once again shown his consistency with the Boston Celtics.
The guard-forward averaged 32.7 points per game (ppg) and 6.3 roles per game (rpg), with a shooting accuracy of 55.9 percent. Brown's high efficiency was crucial for the Celtics in maintaining their competitive performance in the Eastern Conference.
This award is the second for Brown, after winning the same award in the seventh week.
For Leonard, the award is a recognition of his impressive performance after the last few seasons were often overshadowed by injury problems.
In the previous week, the NBA's best player of the week awards were won by Jaren Jackson Jr. from the Western Conference and Jalen Brunson from the Eastern Conference.
A number of big names have also filled the list of award recipients this season, including Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA), and Victor Wembanyama.
