Meta prepares two new AI models to be released in 2026
  Meta is reportedly developing a number of new artificial intelligence (AI) models through its Superintelligence Labs unit led by Scale AI co-founder Alexander Wang.

In development, Meta is preparing an image and video model codenamed "Mango" and a text-based model known internally as "Avocado." According to Tech Crunch  Meta plans to release both AI models in the first half of 2026.

The information was revealed during an internal company Q&A session, where Wang, along with Meta Chief Product Officer Chris Cox, outlined the company's latest AI development roadmap. Wang stated that Meta aims to improve the text-based models currently being developed with improved coding capabilities.
