"The benefits of the Housing KUR program are starting to be felt by MSMEs across Indonesia, especially developers, contractors, and building supply stores. Hopefully, this will stimulate the Indonesian economy," said Maruarar Sirait, known as Ara.
KUR Housing is designed not only to support the development of decent housing, but also to encourage local economic growth, he explained.
Business turnover in the building materials, construction services, and daily labor absorption sectors has increased along with increasingly easier access to financing for MSMEs.
According to Ara, the KUR Housing scheme has a large multiplier effect , especially for small business actors who have been the backbone of housing development activities in various regions.
He emphasized that this policy is in line with the direction of national development to expand the distribution of welfare through the provision of decent and affordable housing.
"The Ministry of PKP will continue to expand the implementation of the Housing Business Credit (KUR) and ensure its distribution is on target. This program not only builds housing but also stimulates the community economy, especially the MSMEs directly involved in the development process," he said.
The government is optimistic that the Housing KUR will be an important instrument in strengthening the national housing ecosystem, while supporting the vision of developing inclusive, productive, and sustainable public housing, he said.
Ara expressed his appreciation to Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, and Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa for their full support for the implementation of the People's Business Credit (KUR) for Housing
This financing policy is considered to open wider access for MSMEs in the housing sector, thereby strengthening the public housing development ecosystem, he said.
