The Persik Kediri team is focused on strengthening the team to face visiting team Persis Solo in the BRI Super League match at Brawijaya Stadium, Kediri City, East Java, Saturday (27/12).
Persik Kediri coach Marcos Reina said the team's preparations for facing Persis Solo included building the team according to the scheme and adjusting strategies to be ready to face Persis Solo's style of play.
"We've built the team according to Persis's scheme and adapted our players to their playing style. We know they're not in a good position in the standings, but they also have good players. We know tomorrow's match won't be easy," he said in Kediri on Friday.
He also learned from the last match, where Persik lost 0-3 to Persita Tangerang.
According to him, the result of the last match was part of the process. Persik played well in the first half, but declined slightly in the second.
"It's part of the process and also helps us build our team. It's about knowing what we can do when we face Persis Solo. We'll try not to make the same mistakes again," he said.
