Robi Syanturi: The year 2025 is full of history for me
National long-distance runner Robi Syanturi called 2025 the most historic year in his career and life after achieving a number of international and national achievements, including a gold medal in the marathon at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.

In a post on his personal Instagram account on Thursday, Robi summarized various important achievements throughout 2025, which he called milestones in his journey as a Red and White athlete.

"In February 2025, I was selected as the recipient of the Fortune Indonesia Award," said Robi.

He then recorded a major achievement at the international level in July 2025 by setting a Southeast Asian record and a national marathon record at the Gold Coast Marathon in Australia.

In the race, Robi clocked a time of 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 4 seconds. This surpassed his previous national record of 2 hours, 17 minutes, and 14 seconds, also set at the 2024 Valencia Marathon, and also broke the Southeast Asian record held by Thai runner Tony Ah-Thit Payne of 2 hours, 16 minutes, and 56 seconds, set at the 2018 Frankfurt Marathon.

Robi made history again in August 2025 by becoming part of the Indonesian long-distance athletics training center in Kenya, a program that was the first time national athletes participated as part of an effort to improve the quality of training.

Robi set another national record in October 2025 after setting a national half marathon record at the Casablanca Half Marathon in Morocco. In the race, Robi finished fifth with a time of 1 hour 3 minutes 24 seconds, bettering his previous national record of 1 hour 4 minutes 48 seconds, set at the 2024 Gold Coast Marathon.
