Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani stated that the number of business actors with Business Identification Numbers (NIB) has now reached 14.6 million, with the majority being micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

"We report that there are 14.6 million companies registered with us through the NIB, although the majority are MSMEs. As of December 3, the number of large companies is approximately more than 91,000," Rosan said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Rosan also revealed that his party was discussing improvements to the Indonesian Standard Classification of Industrial Fields (KBLI) with Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti on Wednesday evening.

He said that updating the KBLI was crucial for adapting business classifications to increasingly dynamic economic developments.
