PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) won two Gold awards at the 2025 Asia Sustainability Reporting Rating (ASRRAT) event thanks to its strong commitment to implementing sustainable business practices.
"The achievements of ASRRAT 2025 demonstrate SIG's commitment to implementing sustainability principles," said SIG Operations Director Reni Wulandari in a statement.
He also said that the award was proof of the company's commitment to implementing good governance practices, including information transparency to fulfill stakeholders' rights.
"Especially how SIG continues to accelerate the green industrial transition to contribute to net-zero emissions by 2050," said Reni.
At the event, the SIG Group won four awards. SIG and its subsidiary, PT Semen Baturaja Tbk, earned a Gold rating. Meanwhile, PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk earned a Silver rating and a Commendation Award for its inaugural participation in the ASRRAT event.
The Asia ASRRAT 2025 event is organized by the National Center for Corporate Reporting in collaboration with the Institute of Certified Sustainability Practitioners.
ASRRAT is a sustainability report ranking event to appreciate companies and institutions for the quality of their sustainability reports and commitment to best practices in sustainable governance.
In 2025, ASRRAT was attended by 82 companies and/or organizations: 78 from Indonesia (including three public sector entities) and four from abroad (one from Bangladesh and three from the Philippines). The assessments were conducted by competent assessors from academia and expert practitioners.
Reni added that SIG continues to strengthen its sustainability commitment, which focuses on the three main principles of sustainable development goals: prosperity, people, and planet.
This commitment is realized by integrating sustainability principles into business operations that support environmental protection efforts, improve community welfare, and have a positive impact on the Company's performance.
"As at the Tuban Factory in East Java, SIG integrates sustainability aspects into mining land management. SIG applies a zero runoff method to maintain groundwater balance in the mining area," he explained.
