With the completion of this recovery process, all sub-districts in Aceh are now again served by the Telkomsel network.
Syiah Utama District in Bener Meriah Regency was the last area to have Telkomsel's network restored. The recovery process in the district faced several challenges, particularly related to access and limited supporting infrastructure due to the impact of the disaster.
Telkomsel's Vice President of Area Network Operations Sumatra, Nugroho A. Wibowo, said that the completion of network restoration in all districts of Aceh was the result of hard work and intensive collaboration of the Telkomsel team in the field.
"The restoration of Telkomsel's network in all 289 districts in Aceh, including Syiah Utama District as the last affected area, is a significant milestone in the post-disaster recovery process. This demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that no area is left behind in terms of communications access," Nugroho said in a statement on Saturday.
