Telkomsel won three awards in the categories Connecting the Unconnected, IoT Innovation of the Year, and Delighting the Customer.
The Connecting the Unconnected award was won by the Nias Digital Inclusion Breakthrough project, developed in collaboration with Ericsson. The project provides access to digital services in the Nias Islands region by utilizing a long-range microwave network of up to 180 kilometers and cloud-native Far Edge Core technology.
Meanwhile, the IoT Innovation of the Year award was won by Telkomsel's IoT InTANK solution, which utilizes Internet of Things (IoT) technology to improve the efficiency of industrial tank inspection processes. This innovation is claimed to improve operational efficiency and speed up inspection times.
The Delighting the Customer category was achieved through the AI-Augmented Digital Twins project in collaboration with Huawei, which integrates network data, services, and products in real time to improve the customer experience.
Telkomsel Commissioner Rico Rustombi said in an official statement on Thursday that this achievement reflects the company's commitment to delivering technological innovations that impact society.
“Winning three consecutive years at the Glotel Awards is a huge motivation for us to continue achieving and setting new standards in innovation,” said Rico.
