The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that one of the findings of the anti-graft agency's study of the Free Nutritious Meals program was the mechanism for procuring government assistance.
"The process is still quite long. There's a chain of implementation that involves many parties. This is where improvements are needed," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto at a press conference on the KPK's 2025 Year-End Performance at the KPK's Red and White Building in Jakarta on Monday.
However, Setyo said the complete results of the study would be announced or published in full on the jaga.id page at the end of the year.
In this way, he said, the Indonesian people could see the KPK's study regarding the MBG program.
"In addition to being conducted through the website, the study results are also coordinated with the ministries/institutions responsible for the matters being studied," he said.
On the same occasion, KPK Deputy Chairman Johanis Tanak announced that the anti-corruption agency would review several matters in addition to the MBG program, such as the Indonesia Smart Card program for College, in 2025.
"Through a strategic study, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) identified vulnerabilities in several major programs, such as the Free Nutritious Meals Program, the KIP Kuliah Program, and natural resource and environmental management, which resulted in fiscal improvements of up to Rp753 billion," Tanak said.
