The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is strengthening collaboration with upstream oil and gas (migas) business entities to realize the increased oil lifting target in 2026, namely 610 thousand barrels of oil per day.
The lifting target in 2026 is higher compared to the 2025 oil lifting target of 605 thousand barrels of oil per day.
"To increase production in your work areas, we need to consolidate. Approximately how much exploration will we undertake this year?" Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot Tanjung confirmed.
Oil lifting is targeted to increase gradually in the coming years to 1 million barrels per day in 2030.
