The Indonesian women's national field hockey team kicked off the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand with a defeat after being defeated by the host nation, Thailand.
Playing at the National Sports University, Chonburi, on Friday, the Indonesian team was defeated 2-3 by Thailand in the opening match of Group A.
The defeat suffered by the women's team follows in the footsteps of the men's team, which also lost its first match in Group A.
Like the women's team, the men's team was also defeated by Thailand. However, they lost decisively, losing 0-4. This defeat means that the Indonesian men's and women's teams have yet to win a match in the 2025 SEA Games
Tomorrow Saturday, the Indonesian men's and women's teams will both face Malaysia.
