The Indonesian women's national team has officially announced its final squad of 23 players to compete in the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand, which will be held this month.
Of these 23 players, women's national team coach Akira Higashiyama included four diaspora players, including Iris de Rouw (St. John's University - United States), Emily Nahon (Arkansas University - United States), Felicia de Zeeuw (ADO Den Haag - Netherlands), and Isa Warps (VFR Weyerbyen - Germany).
This number has shrunk from the eight diaspora players who joined the Garuda Pertiwi training camp, which consisted of 36 players.
The 36 players played in two FIFA Women's Matchday matches last week, against Nepal, which ended in a 2-1 victory, and against Taiwan, which ended in a 0-5 defeat.
Meanwhile, the four diaspora players who were not brought by Akira were Isabel Kopp (Hera United - Netherlands), Katarina Stalin (Kansas City Athletics - United States), Isabel Nottet (Hera United - Netherlands), and Estella Loupatty (Women Torres Calcio - Italy).
"This call-up is the result of careful consideration by the coaching staff after undergoing two lengthy preparation agendas, including a series of trials on FIFA Matchday against Nepal and Chinese Taipei at the end of last November," wrote the official Kita Garuda website on Tuesday.
