Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid is encouraging the AI Innovation Hub to present innovations that benefit the public, including innovations in the fields of food, health, education, and transportation.
"We are encouraging the AI Innovation Hub's focus on making the President's priority programs a success and delivering tangible benefits to the public," he said at the AI Innovation Hub's inauguration, which was attended online from Jakarta on Tuesday.
He stated that the establishment of the AI Innovation Hub aligns with President Prabowo Subianto's directive to unite the strengths of science, technology, and industry to accelerate economic transformation toward Golden Indonesia 2045.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilization center presented by the Bandung Institute of Technology together with Telkomsel is expected to produce applicable AI innovations, oriented towards the interests of the community, and support the implementation of priority government programs.
"We really hope that innovations will emerge from this artificial intelligence technology," said Meutya.
He said that accelerating AI development can be achieved through cross-sector collaboration involving academics and industry players.
