The Minister of Youth and Sports stated that the 21 leading sports in the DBON were released after receiving an official letter.

Youth and Sports Minister Erick Thohir stated that the 21 leading sports in the National Sports Grand Design (DBON) will be announced after an official letter from the government is issued.

"Later, when the letter comes out, I will announce (21 top DBON sports), yes," said Erick Thohir to the crew while together with the General Chair of the Central Indonesian Sports Committee (KONI) Marciano Norman giving a statement to the media crew.

He said this in response to questions regarding changes to the leading sports branches in DBON.

In the current DBON, there are 17 superior sports branches, namely athletics, archery, cycling, rowing, gymnastics, weightlifting, badminton, taekwondo, karate, wushu, rock climbing, shooting, pencak silat, swimming, football, basketball, and volleyball.

DBON's flagship sports branches will increase to 21 branches, but this has not been announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The Minister of Youth and Sports explained that the 21 leading sports branches could not be announced yet because they were still waiting for official letters because they would be included in the elite program for which the government would provide funding.

"Yes, so this is what we have to guard against. Only when it's black and white (can it be announced)," he said.

The Minister of Youth and Sports explained that superior sports branches are the focus of development with funding support from the government.

Therefore, he has built cooperation with related parties such as the Attorney General's Office, the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to align

"The use of state funds must be transparent and sound, and there must be benchmarks," he said.
