The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) together with Telkom Group distributed humanitarian aid for disaster victims to the most affected areas in Aceh Province, namely Aceh Tamiang, Takengon, Central Aceh, and Blangkejeren Regencies, as well as Gayo Lues.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Wamenkomdigi), Nezar Patria, inspected the distribution of humanitarian aid for the Sumatra disaster in collaboration with the Telkom Group. Nezar personally visited the Telkomsel Peduli Sumatra post in Aceh Tamiang Regency, one of the aid distribution locations to expedite the restoration of communications and electricity services.
"Today, we saw that 100 generators and 500 mobile phones were handed over and will be distributed to areas where they are needed," Nezar said in a statement .
Previously, on Monday (22/12) at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology together with Telkomsel sent aid in the form of 100 10KVA generator units, 500 mobile phones and other social assistance in the form of 1,500 prayer equipment packages consisting of headscarves, prayer robes, and the Koran.
