"There are four objects considered vital in the Banten region, namely the movement of people returning home for Eid, the crossing route in Merak, religious activities, and year-end tourist destinations," said National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, while inspecting Merak Port, Cilegon, Banten, on Monday.
The National Police Chief explained that Banten is a strategic region because it serves as a gateway for people moving from Java to Sumatra and vice versa. Therefore, all public activities, whether for worship, work, or tourism, must be guaranteed security.
