During a working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on December 9, the head of the academy, Gennady Krasnikov, noted that the academy’s scientists conduct and coordinate fundamental research in 700 scientific institutions, encompassing more than 6,000 scientific topics and areas of specialization .
Krasnikov confirmed that the academy reviewed 478 books and study references in one year , noting that the review of textbooks began more than a year ago.
He added:"We have agreed with the Ministry of Education to develop unified textbooks in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry and biology, and we plan to start testing them in 2027."
He explained that all these books will be reviewed by three specialized boards to ensure their content aligns with the latest global scientific data . The boards of medicine and psychology will also verify that students can comprehend the scientific content without harming their health, in accordance with their age and level of cognitive development.
