A choice of rice types that are friendlier for diabetes patients

A choice of rice types that are friendlier for diabetes patients  Nutritionist Karishmma Chawla recommends several types of rice that have a lower glycemic index than white rice in general.

Quoted from the Hindustan Times, Friday, this rice choice can also provide taste and nutrition without the worry of blood sugar spikes.

The glycemic index (GI) is a classification based on how quickly carbohydrates raise blood sugar levels after eating. Foods with a high GI are absorbed quickly and cause a rapid rise in blood sugar, while foods with a low GI are digested more slowly, resulting in a more gradual rise in blood sugar levels.
