Alcaraz got off to a tough start to win the second round of the Australian Open
Carlos Alcaraz's quest to complete the Career Grand Slam faced a tough challenge when he faced Yannick Hanfmann, but after a hard fight, the Spaniard managed to win the second round of the Australian Open at Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne.

In a 78-minute first set, Hanfmann put up a fierce fight against the world number 1. Alcaraz then recorded his second straight-sets victory of the Melbourne tournament, 7-6(4), 6-3, 6-2.

"I didn't expect to play that well. But after talking to my team, I realized I played better than I thought, and I think that's great," Alcaraz said in his post-match press conference, as quoted by ATP.
