Aldila Sutjiadi wants to meet Janice Tjen in the Hobart final
  Indonesian women's tennis player Aldila Sutjiadi is looking forward to meeting her compatriot Janice Tjen in the Hobart International final, after facing each other in the previous tournament, the ASB Classic in New Zealand, last week.

"I want to meet Janice in the final because it means we can both advance to the final," Aldila told  instant message after winning her opening match at the WTA 250 Hobart event .

Aldila, who partnered with Japanese tennis player Makoto Ninomiya at the WTA 250 Auckland event, lost to Janice, who partnered with American tennis player Caty McNally, in the quarter-finals via a supper tie-break.

In Hobart, Australia, Aldila, who partnered with Mexican tennis player Giuliana Olmos, successfully secured a place in the quarter-finals after defeating Maia Lumsden/Sabrina Santamaria.

Meanwhile, Janice partnered with Polish tennis player Katarzyna Piter, her partner when she won her first WTA 250 doubles title in Guangzhou, China, in October 2025.

Janice/Piter will start the WTA 250 Hobart by meeting the home doubles pair Gabriella Da Silva Fick/Alexandra Osborne tomorrow, Tuesday (13/1).
