Algerian national team winger Adil Boulbina emphasized that his squad's 1-0 victory over Congo in the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco on Tuesday (January 6) was a collective effort.
Boulbina, who scored the only goal of the match, did not want his name to be celebrated as a key figure in his team's success.
"It was a collective effort, not about me. For the team, the win was incredible," said the 22-year-old.
In the match against Congo, Boulbina came on in the second half of extra time, precisely in the 113th minute, replacing Fares Chaibi.
