"If you get carried away by your emotions, you could lose all your energy and possibly fall behind at the end. So you have to really fight yourself," Bayu said, as quoted in a press release from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Bayu won the gold medal in the men's 200-meter freestyle S10 swimming event with a time of two minutes 18.22 seconds.
