Indonesian men's singles badminton team coach Indra Wijaya confirmed that Anthony Ginting's waist injury is not a recurring injury.
Ginting decided to withdraw from the second round of the 2026 Indonesia Masters after experiencing discomfort in his lower back after completing his first round match at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan.
"There's definitely a back injury, but I don't mean it's a recurring injury, which is what you'd call a relapse. This is, what do you call it, a situation that was beyond our expectations," Indra Wijaya told reporters
