Amazon launches AI virtual assistant Alexa+ in website version
Amazon is expanding the reach of its artificial intelligence (AI)-based virtual assistant, Alexa+, by launching a web version via the Alexa.com site at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, United States.

As reported by Tech Crunch on Tuesday, through the site, users can access Alexa+ via a web browser, similar to using other AI-based chatbots such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini, without having to rely on Amazon smart home devices such as Echo.

Alexa.com is currently only available to Alexa+ Early Access users. Amazon stated this is to make Alexa+ available across platforms, not just in the home, but also on mobile and the web, to be more competitive in the global AI-based virtual assistant space.
