AMD announced its latest line of Ryzen AI 400 Series processors for artificial intelligence (AI)-based personal computers at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, United States.
As reported by Tech Crunch on Tuesday, AMD introduced the Ryzen AI 400 Series processors as its latest generation of AI-based PC chips . The company stated that these processors offer performance improvements over the previous generation, including a 1.3x increase in multitasking capabilities and a 1.7x increase in content processing.
The Ryzen AI 400 Series is equipped with 12 processing cores ( CPU cores ) and 24 threads , and is a development of the Ryzen AI 300 Series which was introduced in 2024. AMD began developing the Ryzen processor line in 2017.
