Apple is not releasing the iPhone 18 this year due to a new launch scheme.
Apple is unlikely to release a standard iPhone 18 model in 2026 as the tech company is reportedly preparing a major change to its annual iPhone launch pattern that has been in place for more than a decade.

As reported by Macrumors on Monday, although the iPhone 17 recorded very strong sales throughout 2025, its successor model, the iPhone 18, is said to only be available in the spring of 2027.

This means the iPhone 17 will remain the latest regular model for more than 18 months, marking the first time Apple has gone a year without introducing a new generation of non-Pro iPhones.
