Bayern Munich still firmly at the top after beating Cologne 3-1
  Bayern Munich remains firmly at the top of the standings after beating Cologne 3-1 in the 17th week of the German League at the RheinEnergie Stadium, Cologne, Wednesday evening local time.

In this match, Bayern Munich won thanks to goals from Serge Gnarby, Kim Min-jae and Lennart Karl, while Cologne had taken the lead first through Linton Maina, according to Bundesliga records.

Bayern Munich currently sits at the top of the German League standings with 47 points from 17 matches, 11 points ahead of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

On the other hand, the defeat made Cologne drop to 12th place in the German League standings after having 17 points from 17 matches, five points away from the relegation zone.

Koln took the initiative to attack first and had the opportunity to threaten through a shot released by Said El Mala, but it was thwarted by Manuel Neuer.

When the match  the fifth minute, the match was stopped by the referee because of fireworks lit by supporters which caused smoke to enter the field.
