Brahim Diaz's solitary goal sends Morocco into the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals
A single goal from Brahim Diaz sent the Moroccan national team through to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after defeating the Tanzanian national team 1-0 in the round of 16 at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat, on Sunday.
In this match, Brahim Diaz scored the only goal against Tanzania for Morocco's victory in the 64th minute, according to CAF records.
Next, in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco will face the winner of the other round of 16 match between South Africa and Cameroon.
In this match, Morocco took the initiative to attack first and managed to score a goal through Ismael Saibari when the match had been going on for 15 minutes.
However, the goal was disallowed by the referee after a VAR review due to an offside prior to the goal being scored.
Morocco continued to play an attacking game and managed to create a chance in the 60th minute through Achraf Hakimi's free kick which still hit the Tanzanian cross
