Carrick says MU must continue their momentum after winning against Arsenal.
Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick stressed that his team must continue their momentum after their dramatic 3-2 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday (25/1).

The result extended Carrick's perfect start since returning to the Red Devils and lifted United to the top of the Premier League table.

"We have to capitalize on the momentum of confidence and use the emotion that's there. The players have had a great week and that has to continue," Carrick said after the match, as quoted on the club's official website on Monday.

However, Carrick stressed that his team must remain humble and understand how this great result was achieved.

"Victories like this don't come easy, so we have to be able to store them up and use them again."

Carrick was appointed as interim manager after Manchester United sacked Ruben Amorim in early January.

So far, two matches under his leadership have ended in impressive wins, namely 2-0 over Manchester City and a sensational victory over Arsenal, who are currently top of the table.
