Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital said that telecommunications networks are a basic need for the community.
Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Nezar Patria emphasized that telecommunications networks have now become a basic need for the community and determine the continuity of public services, so that the development and management of telecommunications infrastructure must be seen as a shared interest.

According to Nezar, field experience shows the vital role of telecommunications networks in people's lives, especially during disaster situations.

"One thing we just realized today is the importance of telecommunications networks. I was there, and I just realized that telecommunications networks are as important as electricity and water," Nezar said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

He explained that without a functioning network, various basic needs of the community would be disrupted.
