Infinix Note 60 can make satellite calls outside of emergencies
Infinix introduced its latest mobile phone series, the Note 60 Series, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 as the first mobile phone to support satellite network calling features that can be used in situations other than emergencies.

Typically, satellite connectivity is only used for emergency situations. However, Infinix states that the Note 60 Series feature is designed as an always-on standby connection integrated with the phone's main system.

As reported by Gizmochina on Wednesday, this global satellite calling feature is claimed to be capable of reaching nearly two-thirds of the Earth's surface and can be used without additional user registration. The system allows phones to stay connected anywhere, even in areas without cellular networks.

While transmission speeds are limited to around 4 kilobits per second, Infinix says its connectivity system has been optimized to support high-quality voice calls and two-way text messaging.

The phone can also automatically switch between satellite networks and roaming networks to keep connectivity available.
